Joining Students for Responsible business is a great opportunity to build one’s resume, meet and network with successful Philadelphia professionals specializing in sustainable business practices, and help the local community through the various events and activities held year-round at Temple University. Becoming a member is simple. Stop by the SRB office in room A038 located on the bottom floor of Alter Hall or swing by a meeting held in room 238 at 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM on Wednesdays.
SRB is currently the least expensive student professional organization available at the business school and is currently only $20 for the 2011 Spring semester. As an official member, students will gain access to internships offered in and around the Philadelphia region as well as certification under Net Impact, a nationally recognized organization working for goals that closely align with the initiatives of Students for Responsible Business. Throughout the semester, students are offered a great deal of opportunities to attend meetings and join committees which work towards a multitude of projects aimed at improving the awareness of responsible business practices within the community. Each paid member’s hard work is tracked throughout the semester via a points system which allows current directors to elect up-and-coming committee leaders. Members of SRB have a great time and make a genuine difference.
