Kashan Ahmed, President

Kashan Ahmed

Kashan is a foreign student from Karachi, Pakistan who started at Temple University in the Spring of 2008. Majoring in Management Information Systems here at Temple, he holds over 3 years of work experience in the Pakistani and European Banking and e-Business industry. He is interested in pushing both large and small corporations to strictly follow environmental and ethical policies in order to change the world that we live in today. Kashan is currently the head of recruitment and also the incoming president of SRB for the Fall of 2009. He also works as an on-campus student lab consultant at the TECH Center at Temple University. His attitude of "getting the work done with the team - on time" will lead SRB to great success in the future.

Cool fact about Kashan: He absolutely LOVES airline food.


Ben Schneible, Chairman-at-large

As one of SRB's founding members, Ben has a vision of creating a strong international network of leaders who use the power of business to make a positive impact on their communities and environments. Growing up in Vermont has become a major influence on the progressive ideas and concepts that he has incorporated into SRB. Some of his past projects include The Green Truck, organizing the 2008 and 2009 Social Entrepreneurship Conference at Temple University, Green Foods Initiative, various small business consulting projects and Green by Design Week. Ben currently works for Pekasys, Inc and is taking a semester in Brazil as part of his study-abroad program at Temple.

Cool fact about Ben: He is a full time Dj and can spin some really sweet beats

 

Todd Oskin, Vice President of Sustainable Design

Todd is a student in the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He is interested in social enterpreneurship and is a supporter of Dr. Muhammad Yunus' social business model. Todd is also interested in sustainable, or 'green', real estate. he is currently interning with David Krupp, director of the Green Properties Group at Kurfiss Sotheby's International Reality, and Kevin Gray, real estate development director for New Kensington Community Development Corporation. Todd focuses on running events related to sustainable design for SRB.


Hang Nguyen, Vice President of Marketing

Hang is a junior marketing major at Temple University. She has over 5 years of work experience in sales and communications through various jobs and activities. She is passionate in the activities she is involved in and is dedicated to her work. Hang is interested in hands-on work such as community clean up efforts and urban farming. She is currently VP of Marketing representing any upcoming events for SRB or any current public relations, both on and off campus. She wants SRB to continue to grow on the university, city, national and international level in order to raise awareness and change current practices in businesses.

 

Arne Morin, Director of Arts

Arne is a senior majoring in Entrepreneurship at Temple University. Currently he works as an entrepreneurship facilitator at the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute in the Fox School of Business. He is a member of the Entrepreneurial Student Association as well as the arts director and a founding member of the Fox School’s newest student professional organization, Students for Responsible Business. Arne worked with the president of the organization to revamp a vendor truck on campus into The Green Truck. It is an environmentally friendly food vendor that serves local and organic food at affordable prices to the students and surrounding community. He is currently involved in the Green Foods Initiative to spread The Sexy Green Truck's mission to all university vendors. He was on the planning committee for Temple's Annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference which is co-hosted by Students for Responsible Business. He was also the moderator for the Entrepreneurship panel held at the conference. After school he plans to create his own environmentally friendly clothing company.

 

Mike Canarelli, Vice President of Information Systems

Mike Canarelli, founder of Axis Creative Group, an Internet Marketing & Web Design firm, is the Vice President of Information Systems for Students for Responsible Business. In August of 2008 Mike joined the Fox School of Business and began taking classes at Temple University as an Entrepreneurship Major. Shortly after classes began he joined Students for Responsible Business. Realizing the issues that businesses face today in conjunction with the world's common "green" initiative Mike started working with the other SRB members. Throughout his membership he has designed the SRB website, donated IT and technical advice along with web hosting and participated in a few SRB sponsored events.
